Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! We allow up to 2 pets. Aggressive dogs are strictly prohibited, however. Please note that there is often a dog staying in the other unit on the property. If your dog or cat makes a mess inside, please clean it immediately, and be sure to let us know so our cleaner can give that area a deeper clean for the next guest. We charge a $94 non-refundable per pet fee per stay to help ensure the deepest clean between guests. Please use the pet blanket (provided) should your dog sit on the sofas or beds and the rubber dog-bowl mat for their food and water.

Yes. While we might not have lions and tigers, there are bears (oh, my!). They do not come around all that often, but they are real and they are big. We have not seen any this year, but our next door neighbors had one in their yard . Please do not leave food outside anywhere and keep trash in the shed. Please do not send your kids outside without adult supervision. There is a bear horn in the laundry room in case of emergency. Also, this is the country; field mice, foxes, deer, ducks, beaver, spiders, bees and other insects share this land with us. Please be advised that you will likely see some of the above.

No. All skis and snowboards, must be left outside on the porch or in your car.

Note that the thermostat for the entire house is located on the side of the stairs closest to the dining room and across from the neon sign.

We have a generator in the front of the house that will switch on automatically whenever there is a power outage. Please note that the generator powers much of the house including the heat and refrigerator, but not every single outlet. If the generator does not switch on during a power outage, please contact us immediately.

We are in a rural area and the Xfinity service can go down from time to time. It usually will switch back on by itself. If the wifi is down for more than an hour or two, please contact us and we will troubleshoot it for you.
