For a camera-ready view of the changing seasons, Okemo Mountain Resort is a fantastic choice.
While best known for its ski slopes in the winter, Okemo also offers perfect peeping of Vermont’s Fall foliage. Take a scenic chairlift ride to the top and enjoy panoramic vistas of the colorful mountains stretching into the distance. It’s a relaxing and “easy” way to soak in the beauty of the season, and you might even spot some wildlife along the way!
Visitors should park at the Clock Tower Base Area for easy access to the scenic chairlift. Parking is free in the Fall. The base lodge is usually open for restrooms, food, and drinks, but hours may vary, so confirm before your visit.
After soaking in the scenery, stop by Tom’s Loft Tavern, right in the Okemo parking lot, for a beer and some of the best buffalo wings around. Open year-round, Tom’s has that unmistakable, almost indescribable quality of a “great American dive bar”, and worth your time no matter the season.
